2017 - FAREWELL Public order, Is-sur-Tille

Installation in the context of the commemoration of the First World War centennial on the front of the Carnot Cultural Centre at Is sur Tille. The title of the work refers to the novel 'A Farewell to Arms' of 1929 by Ernest Hemingway.
Each banner is composed of a number of helmets Brodie, 238 helmets in total, in remembrance of the 238 american soldiers who died at Camp Williams in Is sur Tille.
The arrangement of these helmets forms an immense chess-board. The two portraits, of Marshall Foch and General Pershing, that complete this installation, were performed for a live audience.
